These Thousand Hills is an Awesome song. It is one of the songs I play for people to show them how great Christian music can be. There still is this thinking that Christian music cannot sound great or be enjoyable because of that Christian music label. I like to disprove that with songs and not reveal that they may be Christian music. I hope that it leads that listener to a more open mind. Then, hopefully God takes over. They talked about the song and right away they mentioned that this was a song written by their good friends in a band called Jacob's Trouble. Being a fan of JT, I was stoked to hear them say that. There are some big exceptions though, and one of them has always been you guys. Your music has always been exceptional, so thanks. I'm also glad to see a lot of other music getting out there via garageband etc, doing an end-run around bad contracts. :) I hope you keep on writing, and I'll look for more of your stuff.carrollshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14231480752698677534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30881411.post-8260207910205360652012-01-28T08:40:55.281-08:002012-01-28T08:40:55.281-08:00Nice story. Imagine a world where great artists like DA, Adam Again and Jacob's Trouble actually got the airplay they deserved?

Anyway, my wife and I spent our honeymoon in the Adirondacks, just over eight years ago. I didn't bring any music with me, but somehow my beat up cassette of "Knock, Breathe, Shine" was in my car - we listened that tape every time we drove to dinner, sightseeing, shopping, etc.

"These Thousand Hills" will always be special to us, because when we sat on top of one of the mountains and surveyed the landscape before us, we sang that song, in quiet worship. JT really helped bring us together. :)

Now, do you take requests? I'd love to hear the back story AND the meaning of "Lovingkindness" off of your last CD. Those lyrics are just plain weird.jeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02654879952026273771noreply@blogger.com
